Remember the theme 258 Relaxation? The fuzzy filly lying down in the sun? I got busy yesterday and clipped heads, necks, chests and tummies of the two horses I'm about to start in training. The photo above is of Kittyhawk, the filly in the photo. There are two more photos of Kittyhawk below, as well as one of her half brother, Mustang. Mustang was subject of the theme 115 Furry. He's not only not furry(at least his head and neck aren't), but his undercoat is almost totally white. With a partial clip (the full bodyclip will be in April--and it probably won't be any better a clip job than these were!) he's a two tone horse! I used to think his head was coarse (I've never done a head clip on either of these two), but I'm about to change my mind! It's like Christmas all over again, unwrapping gifts. I just can't take my eyes off of them!
What beautiful animals!
ReplyDeleteStunning shots and thank you for the unexpected treat, I have a haircut like that but on me it's cald Pattern Baldness, but hey God only made a few perfect scalps - On the rest he put Hair.
ReplyDeleteThis really shows off the horse's true beautify! Nice crops!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful....your horses are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThere is a whole lot of hair on these little guys! I hope they do not get cold on the bare parts!
ReplyDeleteA day or two after I clipped them, we had a cold front move in. I wound up putting blanket hoods (not the whole blanket, just the hoods) on them to keep them warm on the head & neck. Poor Mustang pulled his down over his eyes last night! Hopefully he's learned to leave it alone. I'll know in the morning!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about the purpose of clipping them like that. They look sort of embarrassed!
