84 - Empty
This is one of two horse barns at the Somervell County Expo in Glen Rose, TX. This differs from the Stock Show barn photo, in that these stalls are empty, but they were in use. These exhibitors were through showing, so they packed up and went home. There were a few empty, unused stalls (always are), but no barren aisles. That's a good sign, if not for the economy, then certainly for the AMHR (American Miniature Horse Registry) and ASPC (American Shetland Pony Club)! Sorry I missed seeing all the beautiful tiny horses and elegant ponies, but I'm happy to see they were there!

I love this image, the coloring and the composition almost gives in to that empty and lonely feeling! Superb! And, thanks for the info on my moth - never thought of looking it up there! You are good! :)
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on this one, Sunny. You've got excellent leading lines directing the eye back to where the light is coming in at the doorway. Everything is nicely textured and the sawdust kicked out of the stalls adds life to the photo. I really like this...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful take. it just looks so calm to me. i could sit there and just meditate.
ReplyDeleteMust make you life so rich and rewarding promoting these wonderful animals.
ReplyDeleteThe monochromatic scheme is really nice. It adds to the empty feel.
ReplyDeleteThis is really nice. I think it would make a good black and white shot, also.
