355 - Weights and Measures

Aluminum racing plates, each a precise weight, size and shape. A portion of an ounce, a quarter inch longer/shorter, a rounder or squarer toe, so many things that can give a racehorse the tiniest of edges. It's a science, modern farriery, especially when it comes to racing. Precise weights and precise measurements can mean the difference between winning and losing.

Amazing how much difference a horse shoe can make. "For want of a horse, the kingdom was lost . . ."
