This is a monument of sorts, a monument by a housing construction company to themselves. A monument to their pride in destroying what used to be farmland so they could profit from the ridiculously large homes they are putting on small lots (bigger lots than in town, though--those you could mow with a pair of scissors!). How long before there's no farmland left? All of our food will come from foreign companies. What would that do for our homeland security, then? (Sorry, this is one of my pet peeves!)
I'm playing catch up on this one. I was just too tired last night to even turn on the computer, so I'm doing yesterday's and today's today. (Confused yet?)
Beautiful picture. I know what you mean..... Americans are just too materialistic. Especially with houses. Look at all the foreclosures by people who just HAD TO OWN A BIGGER HOUSE even though they had no income to support the purchase. And so many empty houses and new construction. All destroy our land!! Sorry I got started this morning after reading your posts.
ReplyDeleteVery well said, Sunny!
ReplyDeleteInteresting interpretation of the theme and nice photo.
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the theme and perfect image to support it!
ReplyDeleteI also have a Sunny disposition, Multinational companies brought about the current global crisis, to run governments dry, (our money) What I want is amoniment to the man (or woman) who figures out a way to make them pay in a non fiolent way. The trillions that Obama has poured back into the economy was stolen, to create the hole. Those that stole it MUST pay it back - All of it! Give me a Monument to Reciprocity and the Acceptance that Responsibility for your actions applies to individuals, Companies, States and Nations. My tirad here endeth.
ReplyDeleteRon, I support your tirade wholeheartedly!
